Hi, I’m Codie, the woman behind Shaggy Hound Sales.

I’ve spent years on both sides of pet specialty, from managing independent pet stores to travelling Ontario as a full-time sales rep. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that some of the brands with the biggest hearts don’t necessarily have the biggest budgets.

There are so many incredible small businesses creating products they truly believe in, but finding their place in a market dominated by bigger brands isn’t easy. Traditional representation can be a huge step, and not every growing brand is ready for it. I felt like there needed to be something in between.

That’s why I built Shaggy Hound.

I represent a carefully selected lineup of like-minded brands, offering different levels of hands-on support based on what they actually need right now. Whether that means making introductions, building awareness, supporting existing retailers, or becoming their full representation in Ontario, my goal is to give great brands a real person in their corner and a real chance to grow.

I genuinely love this industry. I love discovering products with passionate people behind them, walking into independent pet stores, building relationships, and watching something I believe in find its place on the shelf.

As the woman building a small business of my own, there’s something pretty special about getting to build mine by helping other small businesses build theirs.
